CARE is a Section 21 non-profit organization dedicated to serving rural communities in the Western Cape. Our focus is on children and adults living and working in agricultural environments: - Helping them grow intellectually, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.

We believe agriculture forms the backbone of our country, and the families who sustain this industry deserve to be valued, protected, and enabled. Many face challenges such as limited access to resources, trauma, substance abuse, and neglect. CARE exists to stand in that gap; to serve, uplift, and bring light into those spaces.

Our Vision

To see underprivileged rural communities, especially women and children, and young adults flourish in dignity and hope through the transforming power of Christ. We envision a future where every child can read, every woman is enabled, and every heart is nurtured in truth, compassion, and purpose. By advancing literacy, spiritual education, and holistic care, we strive to restore broken lives, uplift generations, and reveal the love of God in tangible, life-giving ways.

Our Values

As a Christ-centered organization serving underprivileged rural communities, we are guided by the following core values, which shape every aspect of our mission, relationships, and service:

Christlikeness

We follow the example of Jesus Christ in humility, compassion, and service. His love compels us to serve the poor, uplift the oppressed, and extend grace and dignity to all. In every program and encounter, we seek to reflect His heart and truth.

Human Dignity

We believe every person - regardless of background, age, or status - is created in the image of God and possesses intrinsic worth. We prioritise the care of women and children while respecting the divine order of the family.

Transformational Education

We value literacy and spiritual education as tools for lasting transformation. We are committed to equipping individuals with the ability to read, reason, and grow in their understanding of Scripture and life, so they may flourish spiritually and practically.

Holistic Care

We serve the whole person - body, mind, and spirit - recognizing that true compassion addresses both immediate physical needs and long-term development. Our programs include feeding, clothing, and supporting those in need as an expression of God’s love in action.

Faithfulness to Scripture

We are rooted in the unchanging truth of God’s Word. The Bible is our foundation for teaching, discipleship, and decision-making. All educational and spiritual initiatives are grounded in Scripture and guided by prayer.

Stewardship and Integrity

We manage all resources - financial, human, and spiritual - with accountability, excellence, and transparency. We are answerable first to God and then to our supporters and communities, striving to be trustworthy stewards of all that is entrusted to us.

Community Empowerment

We believe in building from within. Our goal is not to impose, but to equip local leaders, educators, and caregivers to serve their own communities with vision and strength. We value partnership over dependency and sustainability over short-term relief.
